The Austrian Pine is a hardy evergreen that is very tolerant of different soils and also tolerant of air pollution. With its dark green color it is often used as a backdrop in landscapes, but it is also a good screen and wind-break.
The Austrian Pine is an evergreen with spiral, 5-6″ long dark green needles. It grows to be 40-50″ with a spread of 20-40′. It tolerates different soil and does well in normal moisture levels. This evergreen has some drought tolerance. It will produce a cone that is 1-3″ in length and is dry and brown.
