The Frontier Elm is a moderate growing elm and is known for it burgundy fall color that is unlike any of the other elms.
Description:
‘Frontier’ Ulmus is a great tree for a small landscape. It is known to grow to about 40′. It has a glossy green foliage that will turn to a burgundy color in the fall. The vase shape of this elm grows at a moderate rate depending on moisture.  It does well in moist, well-drained soil and is not as drought resistant as some of the other elms.
The bark of the frontier elm is noteworthy because it is fall color and it has a beautiful bark that has a combination of gray, green, orange, and brown coloring.
Best Uses:
Growing in full sun, this species will tolerate a wide variety of soil types. Great street tree or a part of any landscape.
