This is a starter tree, we would normally let these grow for 3-5 years before they would reach a maturity level that would be recognizable. They will be an investment in your future landscaping!
The Common Hackberry is a medium to large tree with upright-arching branching and a rounded spreading crown. Greenish flowers that bloom in spring will give way to berry-like drupes that mature to a deep purple which are attractive to wildlife.
Growing in full sun to part shade, this species will tolerate a wide variety of soil types.
