Description:
The Heritage River Birch is a broadly pyramidal shade tree. It can be grown as a multi stem or single stem. It has light green, glossy foliage that turns yellow in the fall. Another very attractive feature of this tree is the bark has a cinnamon color that will peel back in large chunks and reveal a white bark. This will give this tree color all year. It can be grown almost anywhere, it does best in moist soil, however it is drought tolerant. It is resistant to the bronze birch borer.
Best Uses:
Does well in moist areas, multiple sun exposures. It is great as an accent tree because it has year-round interest, good for shading an area, privacy, or attracting wildlife.
