This is a starter tree, we would normally let these grow for 3-5 years before they would reach a maturity level that would be recognizable. They will be an investment in your future landscaping!

The red oak is a great tree for almost all conditions.  It can handle cities, towns, along streets, in home landscapes, and with its dense crown it provides great shade.  The Shumard Oak is a durable and long-lived tree that is native to Missouri.

It produces small brown acorns.
